Suspend a hold

You can temporarily suspend your holds if you are going to be on vacation or otherwise unable to make use of the items on which you have placed holds. When you suspend a hold it is suspended until a specific date (of your choosing), then it becomes active again. While your holds are suspended they will continue to move to the top of the line, but they will not be filled until you activate them again or until the "Suspend until" date is reached.

To suspend a hold:

Select the holds you wish to suspend.

Choose the Suspend Selected radio button.

Enter dates to begin and end the hold suspension.

Click the Suspend Selected button.
